It all starts with a concept

As song writers, we all have our own established methods of writing a song, and for everyone there's a few concepts that are universal. The first is, how does the song begin? Not just the first few words that streamline into verses. No, what I mean is, what is this song going to be? Who is it for? What is it about? My songs always begin with a concept, a few words, sort of like a mantra, that predefine what it is I am trying to speak about. The song Prophecy 2030 for example began with two core concepts. 1. Unity and 2. My personal battle that led me to my route of spirit. At 16, I was diagnosed with acute liver failure and for four years had to battle death looming over my head. I was really sick. As nothing initially was working and I was only getting worse, I began my first experiences with meditation and went what most would consider- too far- into the astral planes. This is not metaphorical, this is metaphysical, this is a real place, and for most, it goes unnoticed, however, for me, it was about survival. It was about removing the reaper from my front door. After that battle with liver failure, I had two new tools at my disposal, my connection to the universe and my ability to write lyrics.

Prophecy 2030's second verse is a very personal verse in which I described some of the emotions that I experienced and the pains of those years. However, there is also another core concept that I wanted to speak about in this song - Unity. You see, when I was in the core of my liver failure, I felt very alone, sure I had my family and friends whom without, may have changed the outcome completely- but all the same, I felt very alone and I believe that's no different from being divided, you know? We are divided purposefully in so many ways that I'd need to divide this into about 20 posts just to scratch the surface! From Race to Religion, whether you're left this or right that- It's too flawless of a divide and conquer system, they don't need to even acknowledge it at this point. As such, we remain divided on multiple fronts.

But if we all put that aside and came to terms with all that comes with Unity, then we could eradicate this divide and conquer system, in a peaceful way being the real battle so we can break this chain and be a free people.

Divided we stand, but united our stance would be unbreakable if given the chance

Look, it won't happen overnight, but these are the deep questions I ask when forming these concepts. If enough people enter the same wavelength and it becomes the dominant, the universe has no choice but to shift into this new frequency, and if we built the frequency on peace and unity, then we are all on a shared collective for the benefit of everyone. I'm in no way saying we need to riot and overtake or anything of the sorts.

That's where lines such as "no matter the color we are all tired of it equally, that's something we can nod to peacefully so let's stand to mutually in silent mutiny"

War breeds more war, build a world on peace then we have no need for it. That's a dream I'm sure so many of us share, silently or spoken.

No matter what the message is, big or small, it has the power to change. When a message becomes a messiah, it becomes global, it becomes more than a movement, it becomes a way of living, a way of thinking and a way of doing. It can cause chaos or it can create harmony.

Once the energy begins moving, it builds inertia and eventually can't be stopped. I want my inertia to be that of - we are powerful, we are for peace and the mind is not a toy for them to fill with ads and junk. We are not machines for their algorithms to mold, we are creations of the universe, human beings, and we deserve a world where we do not fear basic necessities.

That is who Twistyd Psychology is- a steppingstone, an optional path that I hope you decide to walk - with me. Together, even if now it just is a bunch of words on a blog, can become something real.

Concepts, whether for a song, or a plan of action, are where things begin to unfold. Never underestimate the power a concept alone can bring to the table.
